てっきり最初からマイケル・ジャクソンを意識して書いた曲だと思っていたのですが、違ったんですね。でも、元々のピアノ弾き語りデモも、ファイルセットじゃないと歌えない音域もあるので、ポールは否定していますが、当初からマイケルを意識しているのかもしれません。
ポールのファイルセット・ボーカルが堪能できる曲としては、他に「Dress Me Up As A Robber」がありますね。

昨日に続き、London Townの曲が出てきましたね〜。しかも前の前がThe Girl Is Mineとマイケル続きなのも奇遇ですね！（私はそっちの方は聴いていないのですけど・・・）私のお気に入りのアルバムLondon Townの中でも、私がかなり好きな曲です。特別英国風・アイルランド風でないのに、落ち着いた空気がアルバムにマッチしているのがすごいですね。
ポールのファルセット・ヴォーカルは賛否両論あるみたいですが、私は好きです。歌詞も面白くて好きです。
Wingspanに収録されたのは意外ですね。普通ならLondon Townからだとタイトル曲やDon't Let It Bring You Downあたりを収録するのが妥当な線だと思いますが、ポールお気に入りなんでしょうね。
マイケルとのSay Say Sayを入れずにこの曲を入れたポール、マイケルに愛想をつかした証拠なのでしょうか？（ｗ

常のポールならどこまでも甘いアレンジになるんでしょうけれども、時期が時期だけに、間奏部のハードなアレンジが良いアクセントになっているなぁと感じます。ジミーのギターですよね？やっぱりこの人のギター、大好きですね(^^ゞAdd a comment:
