収録時間：3分33秒 収録アルバム：CHOBA B CCCP 収録シングル：なし エルビス・プレスリーがサンレコード時代の1956年8月に発売したシングル「Blue Moon」のＢ面に収録された曲。プレスリーは1954年にこの曲をレコーディングしており、レコーディングから２年後に発売された。 ポールがプレスリーに代表されるロックン・ロールに熱中していた時期で、シングルのＢ面まで聞き込んでいたことが分かる。ビートルズ時代もデビュー前の1960-61年にかけて、ステージのレパートリーとしていた。ジョン・レノンが1975年のロックン・ロール・カバーアルバム『Rock'n'roll』にて発表した曲「Just Because」とは同名異曲で、ジョン・レノンがカバーした曲のオリジナルは1957年のロイド・プライス。 ポールが初めて公式に発表したのは、1987年に旧ソ連向けに限定発売したアルバム『CHOBA B CCCP』。その後、1989-90年のゲットバック・ツアーのリハーサル及びサウンドチェック、1993年のニュー・ワールド・ツアーのサウンドチェックでも演奏した。 ゲットバック・ツアーのリハーサルを収録した公式ビデオ『Put It There』や、1993年12月24日にフジテレビで放送された1993年11月14日の東京公演のサウンドチェックでも演奏された。それらを含めて、サウンドチェックでの演奏は以下のブートで聴くことができる。 (1)1989年4月26-28日ゲットバック・ツアー・リハーサル DVD『Put It There』 (2)1990年4月12日タンパ公演サウンドチェック Back In The USA - Arizona 1990/San Francisco 1990 (CD 2) (Sirius Records -- SR 018) Arizona Soundchecks 1990/Cactus Club Arizona 1986 (CD 1,2) (Yellow Cat Records -- YC 012) DeLIVErance (CD 2) (Live Line -- LL 2-25452) Hit The Road Paul Disc 1 (Unbelievable Music -- UM015) (3)1993年11月14日東京公演サウンドチェック Sayonara Mr. Paul (Live Storm -- LSCD 51550) Hey Tokyo! ポールお得意のロックンロールのカバーです。ポールは、エルビス風のボーカルも披露していますね。ポールがカバーしたロックンロールは、この曲が発売された1956年から1958年頃までにかけて、ポール少年が14歳から16歳という多感な時期を迎えた頃に集中しています。

いかにもポールが好きそうな、軽いノリのROCKですよね。後年のポールに多く見られる、軽快な曲の根幹を担っているのは、こうした軽いタッチのプレスリーナンバー、と言うのがとても興味深いです、
エンディングは、サウンドチェック等ではしっかり決めていますが、その分“CHOBA〜”でのフェードアウトがもったいないようにも思います(^^ゞ
